Dr. Brivanlou's laboratory was among the first to work directly in hESCs. With private support from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Dr. Brivanlou and colleagues derived several hESC lines, called RUES1, 2 and 3 (Rockefeller University Embryonic Stem Cell Lines 1, 2 and 3).
The Rockefeller University Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Resource Center, housed in the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Molecular Embryology headed by Ali Brivanlou, has been providing key human pluripotent stem cell research services to the Rockefeller and Tri-institutional communities for over a decade.

Danielle Little is the lab helper for the Brivanlou Lab. Her daily duties include checking biohazard bins, stocking up on supplies, cleaning the tissue culture room, and making LB plates and media. She also is responsible for checking the mail room, receiving packages, and any other duties that may concern the lab.
